24th April 2020: Events Cancelled

It is with a heavy heart that we have decided that we have no alternative but to cancel both The Party on The Pastures which was set for Sunday 23rd August 2020 and also the End of Season Bonfire & Fireworks Event which was to be held on Saturday 24th October 2020. This is not a decision we have taken lightly, but feel in the current climate, it is the right decision.

The safety of all our local residents, visitors, entertainers and volunteers is of paramount importance. As many will be aware the committee start planning for these events at least 12 months in advance. Bookings & deposits have already been paid, with balances due in the coming weeks & months. In addition we may be required to pay cancellation fees if we delayed the decision any further. As there is no guarantee the restriction of travel & gathering of large crowds will be lifted by August or indeed October we need to minimise any losses, and so by taking the decision at this stage, we hope to be able to resurrect both of these events in 2021.

Rest assured all stall holders, who have paid in advance, will be reimbursed in full and hopefully the majority of the programme we have worked on for this year for these events can be carried forward to 2021.

We know that this decision will come as a disappointment to many, however, we hope that you understand why we have come to this decision and that you will support us once again when we are able to proceed.

In the meantime, do stay home and stay safe.
