During the Coronavirus epidemic life has become rather difficult for many with the need to stay indoors for many and if outr to keep at least 2m from others (i.e. social distancing).

For many this is making shopping very difficult and many other activities such as collection of prescriptions, visits to doctors and more.

This page identifies local shopping possibilities and the assistance being offered by the Blakeney 12.

Spar, Blakeney

The shop’s opening hours will be 8am to 6pm every day until further notice.

This is due to staff shortages.

Home Deliveries from Spar

We are now set up to do home deliveries over the phone, 01263 740339.

We will gather your shopping, process the payment over the phone and then your shopping will be collected and delivered to you via a group of local volunteers.

Budgens offer a home delivery service.  Please Call 01263 715895 –  between 8.30am and 10.30am.

Please note that Budgens, with immediate effect, is closing its store at 6pm (Monday-Saturday).

Major Supermarkets

Morrisons, Tescos, Sainsburys and Waitrose all offer home delivery services but getting a time-slot is currently very difficult. Click & Collect services are also available but they typically require a drive to the larger stores in Kings Lynn, Dereham or Norwich.

To use these services you need to register and with the current pressures on these services you may find that they have stopped taking new registrations.

Morrisons: Dedicated Phone Line for the Elderly and Vulnerable

Morrisons Customer Services team have set up a dedicated phone line for the elderly and vulnerable.

It is possible to choose from a Food Box  at www.morrisons.com/food-boxes/boxes or call 0345 611 6111 and select option 4 to order a Food box or 5 to place an order for Doorstep delivery.

Orders take 24 hours to process, and payment will be taken through a contactless card by the delivery driver. No contact with the driver will be made and the machine will be placed on a wall etc for people to put their cards  into.

This service is available 8-4pm Mon-Friday excluding bank holidays.

The Blakeney Twelve Is here to try and support those In need of non-emergency help during this challenging time. The help offered is not medical assistance or for the reporting of your symptoms or illness. For advice, if you feel unwell please follow NHS 111 or Public Health England guidance.

So, if you need non-medical support please get in touch, we may not be able to do everything that may be asked, but if we can, we will try and help.
